Barb is a transition and transformational leader specifically focused on guiding teams and individuals through change and professional development. She is an expert in alternative investments and wealth management operations.
A 20-year veteran of Bank of America and Merrill Lynch, Barb served as the Chief Financial Officer of Merrill Lynch Alternative Investments and led the Specialized Product Services teams in New Jersey and Texas within Global Technology and Operations as well as other organizational roles within the New Jersey Market including site management, business continuity and various local employee resource groups. Always active in diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives across the organization, Barb also led Bank of America’s women’s employee resource group, LEAD for Women, globally with over 50 chapters and over 50,000 members. In 2018, Barb was asked to lead her team through a divestiture and transition of people and processes to an entrepreneurial financial technology company, iCapital Network. She joined iCapital Network in 2019 as a Managing Director and led through the integration of the team and the process disentanglement from Bank of America. Barb continued to create and execute on operational strategic objectives to create stability, standardization and scale to prepare for and facilitate iCapital Network’s growth trajectory. She managed a global team in the US and Portugal. In 2023, Barb joined BrightEdge, LLC, the venture capital and impact investing arm of the American Cancer Society initially as Fund and Impact Operations Consultant and now Director of Operations - BrightEdge.
Barb received her MBA 30 years after her undergraduate accounting degree and went on to achieve her Master of Arts in Business Communications in 2020 both from Rider University.
A lifelong Girl Scout, Barb has held many roles including Gold Award mentor, troop leader at various levels over 30 years, Service Unit Manager, National Delegate representing New Jersey, Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey Finance Committee to the Board.
