Prior to joining BrightEdge, Jess has held roles in investing and venture creation, most recently leading due diligence and strategy on new opportunities at Blackbird Laboratories, a Baltimore-based life sciences fund and accelerator. Prior to Blackbird, Jess was a Senior Analyst at Catalio Capital, a multi-strategy life sciences investment firm. Jess holds a Ph.D. in Cellular & Molecular Medicine from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and a B.S./M.S. in Molecular & Cellular Biology from Johns Hopkins University.
